The difference between advised and non-advised

Sometimes it's great to have a helping hand, whether it's for advice on the right mortgage for you, or if you can't complete the journey online because we need to make a few more checks. In these cases - or if you're making changes to your mortgage - you'll need the 'advised' route. One of our advisors will recommend the mortgage most suited to you. You'll have the right to compensation if the product we recommend isn't suitable.

 

But maybe you don't want or need advice and the protection it offers. If that's you, and if you meet the requirements below, you can use the 'non-advised' route and complete your product transfer online.

 

Regardless of which route you pick, if you choose to switch with us we’ll only share Godiva mortgages. We’re unable to discuss other mortgage lenders products.

How to apply

Apply online

If you choose to apply online you'll need your 8-digit mortgage account number, property address and the name of the product you've picked.

 

Once you've logged on, we'll guide you through each step. It'll take about 15 minutes. But remember, we won't give you specialist advice.

 

If you don't meet the minimum requirements, please contact us on 0800 121 6162. We're open Monday to Friday 8am-7pm and Saturday 9am-2pm.

Apply by phone

If you apply by phone, we'll guide you through the process and advise which product might be best for you. It'll take around 45 minutes for a simple rate change, and a bit longer for anything else.


Once we've agreed your new rate, we'll send you all the paperwork. You'll just need to sign (an e-signature is fine).
